Lisa McDennon imagined a storefront that offered a coastal + modern aesthetic, rooted in natural elements; without any seashells or anchors. She believed within design, there were many elements that have subtle differences, or nuances, that take an object from everyday to fabulous. This in mind, Lisa founded Nuance Home + Lifestyle, and opened her boutique in the Spring of 2014. 

In April 2020, the boutique moved to the heart of downtown Laguna Beach on historic Forest Avenue. Here, guests can peruse and shop for gifts, skincare,  home décor and furniture handpicked by Lisa herself.  When it comes to selecting products for the boutique, Lisa's philosophy?  If she wouldn’t use it in her own home, she won't purchase it for the store.  Her lighting, The Lisa McDennon Collection for Hinkley lighting debuted in January of 2017, and is featured in the boutique. The boutique also showcases Lisa's trend-setting design work with services offered through Lisa McDennon Design.
